The African Children’s Choir were honorary guests at an informal concert last night, Monday 30 June 2008, at the Bervie Church, Inverbervie.
The event was organised by the Rev Georgie Baxendale and other members of the congregation to thank and recognise the talents of the group who had performed at the church the previous night as part of their UK tour. Amongst the local performers, Pipe Major Drew Sinclair played for the guests arriving. He also played during the concert.
The African Children’s Choir was formed to raise awareness of the need of destitute and orphaned children in Africa and to raise funds for continued development and support of the Choir’s relief and development programs.
