Insch Golf Course is described as a quality parkland course requiring an accurate approach play to leave the ball in the correct position for the testing putts on the undulating greens.

And yet somehow, this was the location for this year's annual Grampian Police Pipe Band Golf outing.
Now in it's 15th year, which was held on Friday 26 June 2009, attracted a healthy number of Band members, family and friends who enjoyed two rounds on the par 69 parkland golf course.
The honours this year went to Mike Zanre with a creditable Stableford score of 39 points. In second place was last year's winner, Alex Simpson with 36 points.
Bruce Chalmers was third on 35 points.
The organiser, Alex Simpson, said: "It was a really good day out".
Alex added: "With temperatures well into the twenties most of the competitors found it necessary to take on board some form of "liquid", with the exception of our winner, Mike, who risked dehydration all in name of victory."
The Golf outing is recognised as one of the favourite social activities organised by the Band for its members, family and friends.
