Grampian Police Pipe Band continued their impressive start to the 2010 season by taking the top prizes at the weekend's local contest in Aberdeen.

The Band competed in the grade 2 Medley competition and grade 1 March, Strathspey and Reel competition at the 50th annual Aberdeen Highland Games on Sunday 20 June 2010.

The Band won both competitions, winning the top titles for a third consecutive year. 

PM Sinclair said, "While we've played better this season, it is nice to win the competitions in Aberdeen again.  This result and the wins at Gourock, the Scottish and Turriff will hopefully give us confidence to take with us into the British Championships in Annan next week."

The Band will next compete at the British Pipe Band Championships, in Annan on Saturday 26 June, 2010.
