Grampian Police Bass Drummer Stuart Hart, met his match when on Friday, April 15th he married his long time girlfriend Jacqui Geldart in the Caribbean. 

A group of 15 family members and close friends, including the couple's 18 month old son jack, joined Stuart and Jacqui in the tropical surroundings of the Riu Bachata Hotel, Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, to celebrate the sunshine wedding. 

The couple were married on a cliff top gazebo, and the short ceremony went off without a hitch despite the blustery winds. 

The blustery wind was a welcome relief for all from the baking heat of the mid afternoon sun.

On their return, the couple celebrated with more family and friends at the Old Mill Inn Maryculter on Saturday May 7th for those who didn’t make the trip.  

Guests were treated to a surprise performance from a mini band from Grampian Police Pipe Band including Stuart on Bass. 

Stuart said, “We both really enjoyed our day in the sun, the ceremony was short and sweet with minimal fuss, just the way we wanted it.
