Close association with Grampian Police Band will likely bring the sponsor enhanced brand profile, wider public awareness and community support.

It is important to recognise the potential business benefits which single association with both Grampian Police Pipe Band and the Police Service can provide.  These include:-

• Association with Grampian Police has key Public Relations benefits.
• Increased Public Relations profile with the Band performing at exclusive engagements for the sponsor.  
• The sponsor appearing on official Grampian Police Pipe Band merchandise.
• Free advertisement and publicity within internal Police publications.
• Publicity through local and national media outlets recognising the partnership through the Band's significant centenary year of celebrations.
• The sponsor's name and/or logo displayed on the large Bass Drum which is central to any performance and captured in most photographs of the Band, both at home and abroad.

• A direct link to the sponsors web site, from the popular Grampian Police Pipe Band web site. 
• Publicity through local and national outlets during the launch of the new Grampian Police tartan.

With the Band celebrating its Centenary Year during 2007, an established media strategy has been developed which will ensure a significant increase in the national and international standing of the band.

There is increased potential TV coverage through the BBC's expanding coverage of the World Pipe Band Championships, which in 2006, consisted of two 50 minute television programmes.  BBC Northern Ireland also cover any major championship hosted there.  A major competition is planned in Ireland during 2007 and 2008, securing television coverage for the next two years.

The Band also performs at a number of high profile events in and around Aberdeen on behalf of Aberdeen City Council.  In the past it has performed at a large number of Royal visits, including  the Queen's Golden Jubilee official visit and Band members welcomed HRH The Prince of Wales and HRH The Duchess of Cornwall on their arrival at Aberdeen Airport to start their honeymoon.  This news footage was broadcasted worldwide.  Other regular events include Aberdeen City Remembrance Day Parade, The Kirkin' of the Council Parade and Aberdeen City Hogmanay celebrations.

Grampian Police Pipe Band are also closely associated with Diced Cap Charitable Trust, a charity run by Grampian Police staff in their own time, to raise funds for charitable and needy causes in the Force area of north east Scotland.  It is also pleased to assist Cancer Charities where possible and, in particular Roxburghe House, Rachel House Children's Hospice, CLAN Cancer, 'A Touch of Tartan Ball' and 'Kids Out'.  Private sponsorship as detailed herein will allow Grampian Police Pipe Band to continue supporting these charities.  

The association between the sponsor and Grampian Police Pipe Band could provide additional benefits to both parties as the sponsorship develops.
